Craig Edmunds

Craig is the Chairman of Degree C and also the Chairman of Fairbrother Pty Ltd. Craig has built an extensive knowledge of the construction and building industry and, with his solid leadership skills, brings to the Degree C board a focus on innovation, a strategic vision for growth and a strong culture of people development.

Craig's passion to see skills development and training in the industry saw him join the Tasmanian Building and Construction Training Board in 2005, a position he holds today as Deputy Chairman. His desire to contribute to the industry also resulted in him being elected to the Master Builders Tasmania State Council Board in 2010, and he has served as State President. More recently he has been appointed as a Director to the Master Builders Australia National Board.

Michael Rogers
Director, General Manager

As Chief Executive Officer of Degree C, Michael is responsible for a diverse contracting business which plays a key role in the building industry supply chain across Tasmania and beyond.

A former senior public servant, Michael has extensive experience in the property and asset management field, having managed assets valued at more than $2 billion for the Department of Health and Human Services Tasmania. Michael has more than 30 years’ experience in the building and maintenance industry and, like several of our Executive and Senior Managers, his career started in the trade and has grown steadily to encompass all facets of business management. Prior to the restructure of Fairbrother in mid-2012, Michael served as manager of the company's Facility Management business unit and of Fairbrother Developments - the company's in-house project development and prospecting arm.

Michael holds a Graduate Certificate in Social Science, a Certificate in Project Management and a Diploma in Construction and is a Director of the Tasmanian Building and Construction Industry Training Board (TBCITB).

Mark Nugent
Director, Chief Financial Officer

As Degree C’s Chief Financial Officer, Mark is responsible for providing financial leadership and governance to our Board of Directors and Business Units. Mark also leads a team of skilled professionals and administrative support staff who provide essential centralised services.

Mark’s extensive work experience encompasses business management and accounting, administration and human resources. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce through UTAS and is a member of CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mark is also a Director of Fairbrother Pty Ltd, Bank of Us and a Board Member of Lifeline Tasmania.

Tim Jordan
General Manager

As a General Manager, Tim is responsible for Degree C's activities in the North West of the state. Tim oversees our Ulverstone-based Electrical, Mechanical Services, Refrigeration, Metal Fabrication and Residential Heating and Cooling teams. He comes from a background in the electrical trade and has wide-ranging experience delivering large-scale commercial electrical projects. He is an enthusiastic and confident leader and has an ethos of continual improvement - whether that's providing a better outcome for clients or improving on employee development or safety practices.

General Manager

Craig is the General Manager responsible for Degree C's operations in the North and South of the state. Craig oversees our Electrical, Mechanical Services, Refrigeration and Residential Heating and Cooling teams in Launceston and Hobart. Coming from an electrical trade background and working his way up the ranks, Craig has a great depth of knowledge of the contracting industry. A calm and confident leader, one of Craig's greatest strengths is communication and organisation, and he is a passionate advocate for Work Health and Safety.

Brett James
North West Divisional Manager

Brett heads up the commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration areas at our Ulverstone branch. With more than 30 years in the industry, Brett is an experienced leader in his field and is well-regarded for his collaborative approach with staff, clients and subcontractors. He values open and honest communication and is highly skilled in strategic planning.

Tim Smith
Fabricational Divisional Manager

Tim heads up Degree C’s fabrication division. Located in our Ulverstone workshop, Tim leads a large team of highly-skilled tradespeople who deliver large-scale design and manufacture projects all around Tasmania. Through Tim’s leadership, Degree C’s fabrication division has developed close relationships with a number of important manufacturers and producers, securing repeat clients and growing the workforce.

Bruce Fraser
North Divisional Manager

As Degree C’s Northern Division Manager, Bruce oversees the financial side of the division’s business. As such he has a significant influence on the management and delivery of the commercial and industrial HVAC projects undertaken. Bruce forges high quality relationships with builders, architects, consultants and other subcontractors in our industry and he is passionate about delivering a quality project on time for the client.

Anthony Coulson
North Electrical Divisional Manager

Anthony manages the large electrical team in our Launceston branch. His extensive experience and passion for inclusive collaboration drives him to always strive for the highest level of quality in every project. Anthony also manages the company’s specialist solar team which handles the design, installation and maintenance of solar systems and products statewide.

Sam Nugent
South Electrical Divisional Manager

Sam is a talented and skilled Divisional Manager and has more than 15 years’ experience in the industry. After completing his apprenticeship, Sam spent 3 years as a Service Electrician, before making a move to the construction industry. In 2015 Sam moved to Sydney to work as a Controls Engineer. He moved back to Hobart in 2016 as a Project Manager/Estimator and has since transitioned into the Divisional Manager role.
