ElECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP

An apprenticeship in Electrotechnology is a Certificate III, 4-year undertaking that teaches you how to install, service and maintain a wide range of electrical systems.

You’ll gain hands-on experience working with everything from general electrical and solar to data, fibre, security systems and fire detection - supporting essential industries and major Tasmanian construction projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Cable rough-in, labelling, tying, and conduit work including inground installations.

• General fit-off of electrical components, testing and commissioning.

• Installing, wiring and maintaining switchboards, lighting systems, power outlets and control circuits.

• Assist across multiple electrical areas such as security systems, CCTV, fire protection and solar.

• You’ll use hand and battery tools along with electronic testing and fault-finding equipment when completing installation, fit-off, commissioning, repair and breakdown work.

• Our apprentices work everywhere; homes, high-rises, hospitals, schools, hotels, supermarkets, shops, factories and major industrial sites - making every day diverse, dynamic and genuinely exciting.

WORK EXPERIENCE

We offer work experience opportunities for school students who are interested in getting hands-on, on-the-job experience within our team. This is a great chance to step inside the industry and see what a career in the trades is really like.

Students can choose to gain experience in:
